World Heroes for the Sega Genesis is not a bad conversion of the hit arcade game! The graphics and music are scaled down a bit but are quite faithfully represented in game. The controls are easy to do and the game has allot of replay value. It is definitely worth buying if you are a fighting game fan. Obviously if you have a Neo Geo get the game for that system, but if you don't, this is a good purchase!

all in all the game is fair. however the controls seem to be a bit stiff, and clunky, but the graphics are great. kind of reminds me of some of the games I played in arcades when I was a kid.

This was an arcade classic when Neo-Geo was huge, but unfortunately the Genesis is not a giant Neo-Geo arcade machine so it has trouble processing which slows down the movement during play. Also, there are only 8 characters to choose from and there aren't that many secrets to the game, so it can be kinda short. All that aside, I still really like this game and think if you are really into retro stuff then buy it. If you are really used to the speed and complexity of the newer platforms you may be disappointed.
What I liked most about the game is that it plays exactly how I remember it in the arcades years ago.And all the characters were still fun to play with. The only thing I didnt like about it is that it seemed slower than I remember.I guess I decided to buy this game for nostalgia reasons as well as the fact that I love fighting games.
Good game
