  • Better than a switchbox

I knew my Sega Saturn worked, yet all I had was a switchbox to connect it to the TV via coaxle cable input. I replaced the switchbox with this new "retro" cable and it worked beautifully. Used the S-Video connection on the back of my TV which was a much clearer picture. Also I'd like to state that this particular "gold plated" cable looked and felt like it would last... unlike some of the other new replacement cables (cheap GameCube A/V cable) that look like you want to be careful not to break them. Overall: good quality and worth replacing worn out cables with.

  • Good for the price

I bought this Saturn s-video cable because mine was quite flickery. The first thing I noticed was that it's cheap crap. Even thinner cables than my old one, which was also cheap crap. On the other hand, it was very inexpensive and so far works great. No flickering and a nice clear picture. I guess I can't complain, at least they're selling these products for old systems so that's good. I'd recommend but don't pay over $10!

  • Good value, no real complaints!

Pretty good quality for cheap aftermarket cables, and the quality through them is very good. The only thing that prevents me from giving this five stars, is the plastic used for the RCA plugs is stiff and really cheap cheap feeling. Still 100% functional, but just not 'nice' as one would hope. The cable itself, and the molding on the Saturn end, feel just fine.

  • Good cables.

Very good cables if you can't find the original Saturn ones they're actually good alternative for a budget work really nice no interference give me great picture on my screen I would highly recommend them.

  • Great value

I was a little weary about purchasing this after reading some negative reviews but was pleasantly surprised with how well it performed. The difference between the composite signal and the s-video signal brought new life to my Saturn! I have s-video cables for several classic consoles and this performed better than even some 1st party cables. At only $9 I couldn’t be happier! Be sure to use this product on a crt tv with s-video inputs as it won’t work miracles on a flatscreen but will look marvelous on it’s intended display.

  • Great Cables! BUT ....

Nothing wrong with these cables. But helpful advice: do NOT buy if you expect them to make your Saturn games (in 3D) look better! S-Video will make 3D Saturn games look WORSE. They were clearly not designed for S-Video, and upgrading will only reveal all the many flaws. Saturn is notorious for using dithered mesh transparencies that look terrible in S-Video. You'll seriously realize that composite is the best way to view 3D Saturn games. 2D games, like Sonic Jam collection, however, will really pop in S Video.

  • BUY THIS ASAP

I was using the original RF switch that came with my Saturn and was so disappointing that it looked like crap compared to how I remember the system and the sound was bad had a little humming to it. When I used the Retrobit RCA cables it was a huge difference in picture quality and sound. I love playing Daytona USA now. Too bad my TV doesn't have S-video input for even better picture.

  • Sega Saturn gold audio and S-video cables

Sound and video works great. Don't know about newer model flat screens though, since mine is at least 10 years old.
