This book can be helpful for someone simply wanting to incorporate more raw foods to someone who is advanced and wants to experiment with different raw recipes. As well as providing these delicious recipes, Natalia Rose gives some information on the benefits of raw food as well as detoxing. She helped me gain an appreciation and interest in detoxing when I wasn't really believing the hype. What I love about this book are the meal outlines (one week per level). I needed some guidance in trying raw foods, but wasn't ready to dive in 100%. Her recipes are delicious (I love the Classic Chopped Salad and Maple-Glazed Salmon) and simple to make. Natalia also doesn't use a dehydrator, which I was relieved to find out since I don't own one! Her recipes are filling without making me feel heavy and tired. She also encourages her readers to eat her recipes in abundance! Another thing I loved were all the suggestions for different brands and types of foods. She got me to love sprouted grain bread and raw goat's cheese (which I had never eaten before)! I've been suggesting this book to anyone who asks me about eating healthier because it is easy to read, provides great information, and outlines on how to take your first steps into raw foods. The only down-side is that she does utilize a juicer for a few of her recipes, which I didn't have at the time I read the book.Read full review
Highly recomend this diet for anyone looking for weight loss plus a healthy life style. Absolutely love this book. I have been using this method of eating for over one year. I have lost 35 pounds and have not been sick for over a year. My husband is also on this diet. He did it for health reasons since he did not need to lose weight. He also has not had even a cold for over a year and his allergies have significantly improved. I have tried a lot of diets and this one was the best for me. I liked how you can customize the diet and gradually add or change eating habits. My body just seem to want the natural foods. There are a few things in the book that I personally have not added to my life style (the colon cleanzing) but it has not changed the results I was looking for. I just bought a juicer and was looking for easy recipes. This book is well written, easy to follow and is packed with good tasting recipes! I've been using these recipes for only a short while and my energy levels are up and my overall well being is much better than before. I highly recommend this book - it is a good starting point.
