Recommended buy if you don't mind some loss in quality of AM radio reception.
This antenna is something that you would install if you just want to get rid of the nasty looking stock antenna that comes with your vehicle. It is not something you install to make any improvements on AM / FM radio reception. You can hear some static on AM stations if you're far enough away from the transmitter as compared to the stock antenna which produces no static from the same location. I usually listen to satellite radio anyway so it's not so important to me to hear a little static every now and then when I do listen to AM radio. As far as FM goes, I have not tried it because I do listen to satellite radio. The product does look great and is very easy to install and remove when needed. For the price, looks and functionality (at least what I use it for), it's worth the buy! I would recommend this product.

Perfect Stubby Antenna for Road Glide Special
The antenna is the perfect replacement for the giant OEM Road Glide Whip style antenna. It is discreet, made of high quality materials, and provides an adequate signal. I haven’t noticed any difference between the stock antenna versus the short stubby antenna.
