The same ring lights up in the direction from which the microphone is picking up sound, which is also helpful. The buttons are spaced enough apart to prevent accidental drops. The speaker gets louder than needed. If I had to criticize one thing, it would be that it would be nice if there was more bass in the speaker sound. Otherwise, the sound is perfectly clear.
