The Author has the designation of Tax Attorney. However, she is a college professor, and a reading of this book demonstrates she does not know the field of taxation outside the classroom. The samples she uses to prove her point are outright false. One she references a single mom earning 19,000 a year and supporting two children. She claims that this taxpayer would have her EIC reduced by the amount of tax she would owe on that income. Either she is ignorant of the actual code, or she is lying. That taxpayer would (like so many other of her samples) have a zero (0) tax liability. She also seems to ignore the “Head of Household” Status and instead compares single to “Married filing jointly” in all her samples. I could go on but there is no need to. This might work in a classroom of young inexperienced students, where if one were to challenge, she could just dismiss the challenger by claiming that they are not “woke.” Read full review
