Sound could be better.
Nice features with remote...However sound quality could be better. I still like to play records and record them on cassette which is why I purchased this product buy the sound is like an AM radio station and sometimes the speed on the turntable changes while playing...thats not good....good for anyonethat doesn't have somewhat high expectations.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

This System Rocks!!!!
After quite an extensive research and having read dozens of reviews, I decided to give this system a shot and o my surprise, it exceeded all my expectations. I took time to try all its features including the Bluetooth and they all work perfectly. I consider myself picky about sound quality and I've been collecting music for decades so I have hundreds of vinyl records, cassettes and CDs; and I can tell I'm more than pleased with this system. The sound is amazing considering the size of its speakers. I don't really understand the bad reviews unless you received a defective unit. I recommend this system to anyone looking for an affordable all-in-one sound system. The only turndown if I was going to be extra picky is that it comes with a few preset equalizations (rock, pop, jazz, etc) and it won't let you adjust them manually. During the short time I've had this everything works good. I do have to keep my instructions close by to identify the functions of the many buttons. Disappointing - one out of four were fully functional.
I bought 2 of these systems. 1 out of 4 had all components that worked. The one that worked was fantastic. All I could ask for. The other 3 each had a different issue. The cd player door wouldn't close or the cd wouldn't play for one. The second's cassette player wouldn't play either deck. The third's display would not light up.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Overall, not a bad bookshelf stereo.
This is a nice bookshelf stereo system. The volume can be turned up loud enough to be heard throughout the house. It is not so powerful that you will be driven from the room. Have not tried the phonograph. The radio and tape deck are both easy to use. The only issue is with the CD player. On a couple of occasions, when rotating to the third position, the drive seemed to stick and would give an error message. Turning the system off and back on seems to fix the problem. This has only happened a couple of times. Perhaps the CD player is breaking in. For myself, it is not worth trying to return the system for this reason.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Be careful!
Make sure you buy the protection plan with this device. The first one I bought had a defective CD player. It's worth the money, especially for us OG's who still have CD'S and cassettes. So far, so good
I'd give a 5 just for the speakers alone. Despite being tiny things, they pack quite a wallop sound wise. They even work on my old stereo system (which I keep since I can play 5 CDs on that 1). I've only played tapes on it to this point and they play just fine. My only complaint is that you have to bring the volume back up every time you turn the device back on. Sound is terrable/ shipping across border was way off.
The speakers on this stereo are not very good at all. I bought a whole new speaker system. If it played as good as it looked you would have it made. I am not impressed with the shipping costs. Especially at Christmas. I got put into a collection agency because I did not pay Fed X 90.00 for the item being stopped at the border. I was under the condition that it was taken care of.
