  • IF you want it done right WELD IT or waste your time and money on this!

I have used many different type epoxy products in my 64 years. And working with metals and other type materials. However metals are what Ive worked with the most.As well regular JB weld.To quickly say that the regular JB weld.Ive had about a 50% success rate with and this so far has been not good at all.And yes I mixed the product up well before appying.Roughed the entire area up with 80 grit sand paper.Pressed it firmly into all areas and even afew that were more than small indentations.Which this was used on a small 5 hp performance engine exhuast. That had pits in the weld areas.Which at first I had a difficult time just getting it to stick. After afew applications. And working it differently.I had good enough success for this much to work out. Then I ended the finnish work with wet sand 600.Which as expected produced a smooth enough finnish. After I gave the entire exhuast afew liberal coats of high heat flat black.Yes I allowed the told cure time of a full 24 hrs. Before I started the sanding.By the time the paint went on it was 48hrs.And another 12 hrs after the paint was when I fired this engine up.And only ran it for 5 minutes shut it down. The next day I see not only rough areas where this products been used.BUT lumps that like the rough wasnt there at all till the exhuast was heated up! Hard and firm to the touch.I pulled the exhuast and took a grinder to it all. Well knowing what I was looking at.Sure enough it had lifted into bubbles. And came off as if it was saw dust! Close enough to it.Proving this product isnt as good as the regular!Which isnt to good for the truth.BUT its far better than this crap thats not worth the money or your labor!I wont waste my time less telling anyone not to at all buy this poor product. Since the bubbles werent caused by as much as a smallest air leak,.BUT simply heat from the hot exhuast period. Then I no longer have any use for ether JB products do to the less than good results.Your 1st clue should be what mine has been.WELD what requires it. Since nothing from any tube will ever do that same job at all.And any product with the name weld on it. You should be able to tap threads into and you wont ever make less hold any threads in this shit product at all.

  • Let it cure naturally!

I have used it, but have not actually tested it in a real world situation yet. I am pretty sure it will do what I purchased this product for. Sealing an O2 sensor bung weld for any potential pin holes in the weld. Should be ok for this, goes on easy, but make sure you let it cure for at least 24 hours (depending on outside temperature). I brought my cat inside the house, applied it and set aside to cure for a couple of days. Noticed on youtube videos and my experience the paste sets up pretty fast on the surface, but if applied a little thick it takes a while for the inner layer to cure. Don't use a heat source to help set it up, just makes it crack and you will want to apply more to fill in the cracks, makes it look messy too. May crack anyway even when drying natural so just give it time and if need be, add more until you feel confident it has sealed well and has cured proper. If you want an fast fix, this is probably not the product you want to use.

  • Good product, but not what i thought it was.

I use JB Weld, and it's an amazing product. When I had a high-heat bonding application, my first reaction when I saw this was great, order it now! When it came, I looked up how to use it, only to discover that it is not an epoxy or a glue. It is a filler, so it won't work as a bonding solution. Just a heads up for folks who need a high-heat bonding material.

  • Cement/ mortar consistency

Unlike the original jb weld this high heat version is a lot less sticky and has a consistency of like mortar/cement. I bit harder to work with and doesn’t stick as easily. You kind of have to pack it against the surface and let it dry then sand it smooth.

  • high cost doesn't bond to cast iron

Used to repair cracks in cast iron wood burning stove. Extreme heat JB Weld did not mix well appeared grainy and failed to bond. Conditions were clear sunny day, clean ground surface, applied as directed. The regular JB weld worked great. Won't use the extreme heat JB Weld high cost unreliable

  • I let it dry out early follow directions and it still cracked.

Have use J-B Weld before and the tubes and then the epoxy I tried this product cuz I had success with other products and buy J-B Weld this product failed. It crack every time. How well do the motorcycle back together with the old J-B Weld I was trying to hold a heat shield on a paste piece of pipe. With the high temperature it would not work.

  • Great Product

I bought this "weld" to fix a broken artificial "log" from my gas fireplace. It had broken in half and I needed something that could take the heat inside the fireplace. This worked perfectly and the gray color just blends right in with the "burning log" look. I highly recommend. Don't know what else I could've used that would've fixed it as well. Thanks.

  • Great alternative to buying new part, buys time!

Good sealant, dries hard as rock. Patched a couple holes in resonator on my car. Clean area to be applied to real good with a wire brush

  • Not good for cast iron steam radiators. Good for heat not for steam

Used on my cast iron steam radiator the crack sealed just fine but when we turned on the system the steam pushed through the seal. Not sure why the patch didn't hold. Applied the product according to directions and waited 24 hours.

  • Had never heard of this before! It was so easy to use, and holds the weld! Very easy to work with and leaves a good clean look!
