You will need to take the brass pieces and springs off of your broken cam and move them to the new one. You may, as I did , have to file down one of the pieces for fit. Also, after much frustration, I figured out that I needed to file to fit the rectangular end to fit into the ignition switch. Check your broken end piece versus the new one. Other than that, there was the usual frustration with doing something so rarely. Job completed satisfactorily!
The hardest part is getting the old part out. After that.. smooth sailing. Do take note there are two different ignition shafts for auto tilt and manual tilt.
