  • The perfect telecaster upgrade on a budget.

I consider these to be the perfect telecaster pickup. In some installations you have to use the original mounting hardware on the neck pup but still a very easy job in general. To me, they improve every aspect of the guitars' sounds.

  • Tex-Mex is awesome!

These pickups are excellent for any one looking to eliminate the dull, dark and bass loaded neck pickup. My Mexican made 2006 Telecaster never sounded better (to my ears). The bridge pickup really brings all the notes to the front and when combined with the neck it makes the guitar stand out. Clean are bright and clear and if you add "drive" you can make them sing.

  • The perfect upgrade for true Tele tone!

Bought a Squier 40th Anniversary Vintage Tele, great construction BUT the pickups didn’t quite have that “ Tele Tone”. Put in these Fender Tex-Mex pickups and this “ geetar “ will hang with the best of’em. Price was perfect for genuine Fender pickups!

  • Great Tone, Great Value.

These pickups shine for value and good sound. They are no fancy custom shop pickups. The bridge pickup has a simple black plastic housing, and the hookup wires are modern three-strand pvc insulated... But so what?

  • Tex mex p/ups by fender

There is just no comparison of true fender equipment. .in my opinion genuine fender products are the best and these tex mex are no exception. ........just awesome clear jangly pickups like a fender should be.....rock on fender

  • Best pickups for the money!

I love them. I put a set in a pine bodied partscaster and fell in love. I pulled the stock pickups from my Classic Vibe Tele and replaced them with a set from Tone Rider. Now I have to replace the Tone Riders with Tex-Mex, they're just that good.

  • Warmer than Typical Tele

I ordered a set of "Tex Mex" Fender Telecaster pickups for a build I was doing, and I was looking for a warm rounded tone. YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary), Most people prefer a "snappy" tone, these aren't as sharp or cold. I have Deluxe Drives in all of my Telecasters, but decided to try these due to the price difference. I am very pleased with the tone and attack, punchy and warm, not extremely high on output but I also run 4 way switches on everything. (Series/Parallel). I cannot comment on the "Tex Mex" middle pickup, as this instance is standard tele configuration.

  • Real Deal

Best budget pickup for your tele. Esp good for Texas style blues rock. These turned my guitar into a whole new instrument!

  • Tex-Mex pickups sounds pretty nice!

Could have spent much more or a set of pickups but these sound pretty nice. A little more overwound than a standard telecaster pickup has a little more growl

  • Disappointed pickups

Could not get the neck pickup to work correctly with a 4 way switch. Had to settle with a 3 way switch. They are made in all plastic housings and are very cheap looking. They still have that tele twang sound. I think they are overpriced for what you get. I doubt if I’ll ever buy another set like this.
