High Quality & Very Capable PCIe Serial Port Card
It is a high quality board manufactured by Sunlx and it has drivers for virtually any operating system in use today - all the way back to DOS. It worked like a charm when I installed it on a two year old Dell i3 desktop running Windows 7. The port settings are fully configurable (baud rate, data bits, parity, and stop bits); but, assignment of the COM port number is determined by the host system and not the PCle card. Despite the fact that this was my only COM port, it was assigned as COM3 rather than COM1. This was not a problem since the software I am using recognizes COM ports 1 through 4. If you have software that only uses COM ports 1 and 2, this product may not work for you. In this case, you may want to contact Sunix and/or your computer manufacturer before purchasing to see if there is a way to force it into assignment as COM1 or COM2.
