Saw this great Steve McQueen movie in the theater as a young child. What s great impression it had. I have recorded it on my HD DVR many times wishing the clarity and definition was there but it was lacking. Made the purchase of this movie and no regrets because on Blu-ray it is a phenomenal thing to behold. Super definition like never before. The audio is mono but a nice surround sound will take care of that.

Great movie for an old police chase and shoot um up movie. Has one of the greatest chase scenes with two of the greatest cars ever made. Saw this one originally in the theater back in the day and the car chase scene up and down the hills made your stomach jump. this one did also, or maybe i just thought so but it is great in Bluray, very detailed. Glad i got it. Steve Mcqueen is a great actor anyway, like john Wayne, a real mans man and he can drive to boot. Check it out, might be a little corney by todays standards but the chase scene at least is not computer generated. the real thing. Watch the hub caps on the charger though. they fly off around the corners but then, there they are again, on the car. I was never a ford man but i sure would like to own a charger like that one.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good movie. great in Blue RayRead full review
One day I just happened to surfing the movie/blue ray section of ebay when I happened to see that the movie Bullitt was out on blue ray disc - I was very excited. I quickly searched for the best priced new copy and bought it straight away. I must say that I was unsure that the movie would truely be of blue ray quality but to my suprize it was as good as any new movie being made today with that cristal clear blue ray picture. The car chase sene was simply awsume pumping through the Dolby surround sound system. I had to watch it several time because it was intirely to short. It is a great product and I have since perchased several old classics to add to my blue ray collection. I am now looking for a new media storage center to accomodate all my new favorites. You cant go wrong with one. I highly recomend it.Read full review
Steve McQueen takes control and does his own driving in this great chase movie .even the driver of the black charger was trained by Steve McQueen on an actual race track the result -great tension and drama and a must see especially for car lovers

Great Movie for Steve McQueen Fans In reading the background into this movie, great lengths were taken to make it as realistic as possible, using real doctors, nurses, etc. shooting on location. And it shows in the movie, an almost gritty realism. However its weak point is a cohesive plot, very scattered with its continuity but you stay with this movie because of Steve McQueen, his demeanor commands your attention in this movie, his steely blue eyes grip you until the very end. great great soundtrack too especially during the opening credits and car chase scences.
