Great first DSLR !
After months of researching all major camera brands and models, I finally settled on the Pentax KP. Why? I was drawn to the unique retro design of the camera, that as a whole is small and light , and the features that set it apart from other APS-C bodies in the same category. It is well-built, solid and just comfortable to hold with M and L grips in particular. The image quality is perfect for my needs as a hobbyist photographer, plus pairing it with the 50mm f1.8 makes for a good portrait and starting lens for amateurs like me. The buttons and dials are great because you can customise them to your own liking. I am privileged to have acquired this camera body, and no doubt I will enjoy it for many more years to come. Very underestimated Camera
This camera really is the best of both worlds. It feels like a mirrorless in its compact size, and many of its features. For example, focus peaking, Shake reduction, live view. It also has the best of a DSLR with its beautiful optical viewfinder, quick response times, buttons, customization, weather sealing. Image quality is superb and the Pentax limited lenses are an ideal fit for the KP, keeping the size compact and the appearance gorgeous. Great job Pentax!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
