Solid Copper
I had to install it with the fan attached. It didn't want to fit otherwise. Also needed to take some plastic from previous fan to get it to fit properly. But after that it went in and seems to be a good fit. Preapplied thermal paste missed the cpu lid by about a third so needed to be removed and reapplied. None of this was a big deal. Highly enjoying the fans. Much better than my CPU fan and a good replacement for the GPU fan in my Alienware M17x R4. Searched everywhere for a fan to modify when I found this! No mods necessary and 10.54 cfm! Very nice! You can really feel the air when they kick on. The cpu fan sounds much more like the gpu fan now, but only when it kicks into high gear. They Work
Item is as described though not actually the same as original (fan vent on casing varies) but had same part number. Was able to install the fans in my M17xR3. Do check your original fans. Those installed in mine were rated 3.2 CFM (CPU) and 5.5 CFM (GPU) and these are both 10.55CFM. More efficient, for sure.
