  • This amp is the start of building a great PA or DJ sound system

What most don’t understand about a power amplifier is by itself? And just music being feed into it? Will underestimate the power ability of an amp like this. But put the Rockville RPA-20 ( pre-amp) in between the music and this amp.. powered by two Rockville SP-9(?) subwoofers and you will knock windows out of place... I use this amp strictly for bass. Nothing more. Although you can. By a switch in the back of the unit. Bring more music spectrum with full range speakers But Paired with this sub bass system I use 2 sets of 2000 watt ‘active’ PA speakers ( 2 sets for stereo) for the mid range and highs. Now you really want to blow the roof off a building? The RPA-9 is designed to handle four 8 ohm subwoofers At one time. You double the watt output and double the bass!! My system is considered cheap by standards. But it will perform with spectacular results if done right. I’ve invested around $1,300 in sound equipment for doing amateur DJing. And the system paid for itself in two gigs. And having a blast doing it too!! 😀. I’ve since added lights to the performances a mixing board, two small input mixing boards for another $1,700. All paid for with 3 more gigs. Buy pre- mixed music and you sound like a professional DJ 😀👍😀

  • 100% lightweight good features buy again...

Good, I like it sounds great to my hearing. Maybe a headphone jack would be good.

  • I think it will be perfect for small venus of 150 people. like the look of it in my rack system and they don't weigh 40 pounds, and that's a blessing.

Using the RPA9 to power two Yamaha SV 115's and the RPA5 to power a Yamaha 18" sub, I am still building my rack system for 2021 shows need to get a 15 x 15 EQ and a BBE sonic max before I really try it out.

  • NOT VERY POWERFUL

The RPA9 is not 3000 watts. Its a good amp for small stuff. Pro- It has diffrant types of media hook ups. CON -- it only does maybe 100watts in the bridged mode only. Even less in stereo.

  • TIME WILL TELL

I'm new to Rockville and I've bought the 18 inch woofer powered speaker and two amps, so far I'm happy with their stuff, only time will tell but they are what they say they are.

  • Rockville RPA9, Decent lil amp for small speakers, but LOUD as hell fans....

Its ok. Its VERY loud un fortunately, and had I known it was as loud as it is, I would have not purchased it. Its simply THAT loud. Its also no where near the advertised wattage once tested.

  • Beyond awesome power

I hooked up my Rockville RSG 15.24 speakers to these amps (two speakers to one amp), they sounded Awesome and I mean AWESOME. I then utilized the built in bridge, (one amp per speaker) and now they sound BEYOND AWESOME. As an added plus, you can send your music signal from amp to amp, so one output signal of a left or right from receiver per group of amps, ie: a left bank and a right bank (still stereo). No special Speakon connections or adapters needed due to the built in bridge, it utilizes standard speakon connectors. One amp per speaker, I'm pushing total peak of 12,000 watts (4 x 3000). Be carefull, the drywall started cracking in my house, oops, guess they should only be used in large areas. You want to Rock the house, then get these amps.

  • Don't waste your money on this amp

No power at all. Maybe 100w RMS per channel. Absolutely no power increase going to bridged either. And yes, the fan is very noisy compared to more popular brand names. Not sure what this amp is good for, but it definitely is not a pro or DJ quality amplifier.

  • Killer amp

Don't be concerned over fan noise. It is minimal, the fans work great keeping amp cool. Hits hard and sounds good. My peavey 800 made WAY more noise with only one fan. I have 15 inch three ways with horns, this amp makes it painful to listen within 30 feet. Runs all night, no sweat. Great value and I surely recommend. Even has rca hook ups! Plug anything in!

  • Great amps for the price.

I'm using these amps to run hot spot monitors and They'll do just fine. These amps are light weight and at a good price. Something I will mention about these amps. They are more like a home stereo design internally and that's not a bad thing but for high power "Prp" sound reinforcement like you would use for a band these may not be the best choice. My main PA is rated at 10,000 watts RMS and I'm using a name brand power amp for the mains but the RPA9 is suitable for small monitors or top cabinets for a DJ.
