Buy in quantity to save more money, then can use these on building inexpensive LED light bar projects, such as 4 or 5 light type shop lights, on a 4 foot board, etc. since an LED is so low wattage and can use 18 gauge wiring to be sure of zero electrical issues due to low wattage, they are GREAT! A 60 watt type LED uses 9 watts, compare that to a 23 watt useage 100 watt Spiral bulb, still low wattage so these sockets are SAFE to use for 120 volts AC long as you don't run much wattage through them they are perfectly safe to use!

Just remove the ballast and end sockets from light strip. Now place three lamp holder bases equally spaced in bottom of strip and make three holes 11/2:" in diameter in cover over the center of the bases with a hole punch or hole saw, wire the sockets, screw in LED and wind up with twice the light at less current and they are dimmable plus work great in cold climate. It's a win win modification!

A good product at a steal of a price. Not for outdoor but in my case, for indoor use they fill the bill. Not badly made but my only beef, and the 4 rating, was because the screws were short and severely hampered paralleling of the sockets forcing me to use a “buss” method. Worth the price though if no requirement for a robust, solid socket. Mine were ordered specifically for indoor hydroponics and fit the bill.

nice light plastic light bulb sockets, do not use with real hot bulbs the plastic is thin and light weight. i am using with 12 volt led bulbs, the sockets are very easy to mount and connect the wires to also. they illuminate the entire top of my work bench, develop almost no heat and were very easy to wire and mount.

Pretty cheaply made, but that isn't unexpected considering the price. They'll work just fine for my purposes. Wouldn't recommend them for anything long-term where you'll be replacing the lamps frequently. The paint on the contacts begins to wear off after just the first use or so.
