The Feel And Look Of A Good Golf Club Grip Unsurpassed
It's very rare that you will find a good looking golf club grip that has the feel and touch that promotes confidence in a good golf swing. As all golfers know, if you lack confidence when you place a golf club in your hand, forget it, you're doomed before you even address the ball. I have replaced grips on some of my other clubs, but none of them have ever stood out with the look of the Golf Pride Tour Wrap. They even stand out from a distance. So after I replaced the grips on two of my metal drivers, I was somewhat surprised of the grip to hand fit that seems to adhere and conform to the shape of my hand. It's almost like disconnecting a fitted part of a club hand system when the club is separated from the hand. Needless to say I had to take several practice swings as soon as I gripped a driver and later found myself in the back yard launching plastic golf balls in the air. I have not made it to the driving range yet, but that will be my next stop. I favor the black grips but I am tempted to try other colors since they all look so good. I guess I am a little skeptical for fear that my golfing buddies may laugh at me for having a golf bag of skittles. There is not a golfer who will tell you that the look and feel of good golf equipment is a plus in their game. When you hit a bad shot, you certainly can't blame it on the equipment. Of course, we all know you never can. I think that in addition to the look, touch, and feel of the tour wrap the most impressive thing is that when placed on an average looking club, it's transformed into good looking equipment. It can be the darling of ugly duckling clubs, and a wakeup call for those clubs that have been in the garage that you now want to swing again. The ease of installation was great. It took about twenty seconds for me to slide each grip over the shaft. Once they were on, I had a brand new club in my hand. I have been playing golf for over thirty years now, or at least playing at it. And now that I am retired I get to play a lot more. And now that I practically have what appears to be some brand new clubs, I think I'll hit some of the golf balls I've had saved for years. They were all of the balls I picked up across the street from a golf course in a school yard, when I worked the night shift as a Police Officer in Atlanta.
