  • Great budget router

I recently upgraded my internet speed from 100mbps to 400mpbs. Despite this, my wifi speed was maxing out at about 140mbps. After doing some research, I realized that my old 8x4 modem wasn't built to handle those type of speeds. I upgraded my modem, but the speeds were still topping out at about 140mbps. After doing further research, I realized that the problem may lie in my old AC1200 router. I found this router on sale as a certified refurbished product. It has blown away my expectations. I routinely get speed tests in the 450-480mbps range, which is well above my plan speed of 400mbps. I get strong throughput throughout most of my 2,500 square foot home. I've had no connection issues thus far. Setup is fast and easy, taking about 5 minutes with the tether app. The router also has features which allow you to prioritize certain devices to receive more bandwidth. Overall very satisfied with this purchase. It quadrupled my wifi speed for $40. Can't beat that!

  • Extends our home network.

The TP-Link Archer A7 wireless Dual Band router was very easy to set up, basically plug and play. Adding the password protection was simple. I am using it in my office, since my office is located in a "blind spot" for our home network. I connected the router via an ethernet cable ran through the attic from our broadband router. My connection is quick, and the connection can be shared so it has been good for the entire household.

  • Works great. Great value & a lot of features!!!

Works great. I love the AUTO REBOOT feature where I can program it to reboot at 3am each night. This clears the buffers. I can also control it from my android interface. Great value & a lot of features!!!

  • Great value

This is working great for my needs, which were very basic. I just needed a dual band router to assume that role from my crappy ISP provided integrated modem/router. (2.4G only) I also needed a USB port useful for attaching network storage. This fit the bill perfectly at a very reasonable price. Internet speeds on wifi are now much more stable than before (even on 2.4G).

  • I wish I'd have bought one sooner.

As someone without a lot of tech skills this router was easy to set up. Simply type in the router url and set up a password and it was up and running. I purchased this basically to have more ethernet outputs from a cable modem rather than using a splitter. The best thing about it is that my wifi has become much more reliable and stable, no random loss of connection issues and much better wifi range/signal throughout the house and even outdoors. At peak times we have 3 smart tv's running simultaniously along with 2 computers, a playstation and a handfull of smartphones/tablets. The kids are happy, I'm happy and most importantly, Mom is happy. For the price paid I feel as though I stole this thing, hopefully it lasts a long time.

  • Great product and price

Solid router, great admin interface. Has been running multiple devices for two weeks solidly with no resets needed, one computer, my smart TV, multiple surveillance cameras, two smart phones. Easy simple setup process with option to configure guest wifi too. I have loved everything about this router so far. It even works down in my parking lot and I'm on the second floor. Probably the best performing router I can remember purchasing in recent history. A real winner.

  • Very capable, great value

This router and a TP – link extender create a large mesh network at low cost. Replacing the phone company’s router with this one created a noticeable range and speed difference. The set up was easy, and I appreciated the extra security features, like a unique password for each router. The real icing on the cake is that it functions like a mesh network with my TP – link Wi-Fi extender upstairs. Devices seamlessly handoff between one and the other. The whole package was $75, far less than other mesh solutions.

  • Great, fast router. Good value. Read ahead if you run into problems.

This router was recommended by Wirecutter, and I agree with their recommendation. Some users with wireless cards that can't handle 5ghz Wifi signal may face problems. If you do, just turn off the Smartconnect feature on the router.

  • An inexpensive wireless router that performs way above its price.

Forgetting that swapping my router for a new one means that I have to reconfigure every device connected to it, I hope to never have to do it again. And with this TP-Link wireless router, I probably won't have to. I was sick of my Chromecast Audios dropping connections all the time, even the one in the same room as my FiOS router. I've been using this for a couple of day now, with music streaming all the time, and not one dropped connection. It's truly amazing.

  • Archer A7, Excellent Home Office Router

Excellent product, especially for the price. It's relatively easy to set up and in the advanced mode has a number of options that make it ideal for the small home office. It can be used as either a router or repeater making it very adaptable.
