Peterson has developed yet another excellent product here... As a 20+ year loyal fan of this brand, I’m excited to say that they haven’t let me down with this HD model. •Metal housing •Stable connections (much more sturdy than the Stroboflip, my previous favorite) •Intensely bright display w/loads of color choices •Smooth function/caging •Bypass/buffer/monitor switch is a awesome addition ...no hesitation in rating this a 5 star device. I do wish it was dimable, the settings aren’t particularly fun to navigate (but could be worse), and the 9v battery clip is standard/kinda uninspired...but those are my only negative notes. Enjoy playing again!
Changed strings on my Parker Fly Artist about 3 months ago. I could tell intonation was off. I tried using 5 different chromatic tuners. Several were on-board units on very expensive guitar processor's that bragged about the accuracy of their units. I could not get my guitar back to where it was before the string change no matter how hard I tried. I live in a rural area and finding a knowledgeable luthier was not an option. So I decided to go for a Peterson StroboStomp and deliver myself from the anguish. Instantly it made a difference. Have done several performances and it has worked flawlessly. Easy to read, easy to bring my guitar into tune before and especially during a performance. Intonation was easy to do. Best tuner I have ever owned and the one by which I measure all others! This is a precision tuning device that I user for checking the intonation on my instruments. Second best would be TC poly tune. The Peterson has “sweetened” tunings that really sound great. And it’s best feature is it’s different colored displays. This is the best pedal tuner for the money
This my second strobostomp, as I'm using it on my alternate pedal board (for smaller gigs...solo, etc.) I believe the Peterson Strobostomp to be superior to the Boss TU1 (In opinion.) Ho-Hum, same tuner in a different package. Same shortcommings as the previous model.
Overall performance is disappointing. They have not made any improvements to their tuners in years, just put them in a different package. Performance is not up to par with their competition. This a great strobe tuner. Much more accurate than other types I have used which were the cheapest I could get. Don't waste your money and go ahead and get the strobe tuner.
