Back in the 1960's I fell for an unusual, gifted musician named Tim Buckley. He had an amazing voice, such a range. Unfortunately, he abandoned his wife, who had been his high school sweetheart, and his young son, Jeff, to go find himself. Just as father and son were finally starting to form a relationship, Tim, died from an overdose. Jeff felt abandoned all over again. The music industry lost a great talent. Time went on and Jeff started his musical career. He had a fabulous voice and was a great up and coming talent. I was so happy that another Buckley was out there writing music and singing like his Dad. Just before he cut his last albumn in Memphis, Jeff went for a swim in the Mississippi River, against the advice of his friend, and drowned. I was heartbroken for the music world, his mother, and me. We had lost another great talent. I found the book, Dream Brothers, at the Library. It's the story of two star-crossed talents. I just had to own the book, so I bought it on eBay, and am so happy to have my own copy.Read full review
An interesting story about the lives of father and son ,both personalities covered in depth.there are quite some interesting stories on jeff & tim. a pity that the book ends with both of their tragic deaths... I bought the book basically to find out who Jeff Buckley was...and through the book discovered Tim and his character is in some way quite similar to Jeffs...inspite of them not knowing each other. I've read the book over and over...cant seem to get bored by it.
Love the book and it was a wonderful price. Will absolutely buy from here again.
