at level my 5 yr old can play. i even enjoy playing it. there are mini games to increase stamina, coordination, and artistry (mini games not related to skating). there are stores to buy outfits & accessories. And of course, there is a skating rink where you "learn" skating moves.
I am a retired figure skater, and my 10 year old daughter loves to skate. She has several games but this is the one she plays the most. We have a tough time getting her to shut the game off.
I love the graphics and contests - almost like real figure skating! My daughter is a figure skater and this game gives you the feel of real competition. You cannot move to the next level until you "pass" the competition - just like real figure skating! Keeps her entertained and trying for harder levels.
It's a very good game. It's a little hard for younger kids but my daughter is 6 and she really likes it. She may not do all the levels correct but the skating part is her favorite.
IT HAS COMPETITIONS AND YOU LEARN HOW TO DO CERTAIN MOVES TO. I BOUGHT IT BECAUSE, MY DAUGHTER IS IN COMPETITION AND THERE IS A CHALLENGE TO THE GAME.
