This is a perfect replacement for my old unit.
It was great to be able to locate an old product like this. My old unit did not cost as much as this product, but I am happy with this purchase. Now maybe I can finish copying my old VHS to DVD's.

In over 30 years of VCR experience this is one of the best.
I've been a ardent fan of Panasonic VCRs since introduced in the 80s. But a recent acquisition of a preowned unit proved disappointing so I tried this refurbished Sony unit. It is a VERY GOOD VCR. It meets all aspects of setup, recording, and display with ease and quality.

Seems to be workable.
We had one destroyed by lightning. Haven't really used this replacement yet, but initial set up went OK. It came very, very badly scratched on top a bit disappointing. We were replacing the same, so fortunately we still had a remote, or otherwise would have had to hope we could find one. Most for sale had no remote. We don't understand why as they are used items.
