I must say I was a bit apprehensive about purchasing this game used. My fear was that the included key would not be any good. I am relieved to say that such was not the case with this game nor with several others I have purchased here on ebay. Kudos to the sellors! As for the game, if you have the equipment to play this game you will be propelled into a graphical sensation unlike any other has even dared to acheive! It is in a word, Stupendous! Its like being the character actor in a movie. It takes a highend system to do this one any justice. But if you already own the system, you MUST do yourself a favor and purchase this game if for no other reason than to stand in awe, just as the Joker did in Batman when he proclaimed, "Where does he get all those wonderful toys!"
Crysis is a fantastic compilation of open battlefield warfare and Alien Creature attacks. Buying the Special Edition version allows you to have the audio soundtracks on a disk and a bonus disk allowing you the mission editor tool that works on both solo campaign and multiplayer. You can create your own styled maps and play them online or offline. How anyone could say that the original FarCry was anywhere near equal to Crysis is a huge exageration. FarCry was fairly simple in every way , while Crysis is much more complicated and has a more indepth storyline. When you reach "The Core" , where the Alien Creatures live , you know you are in a fantastic game because you are weightless. Finding your way out of "The Core" is somewhat of a game in itself , as many have discovered. The game can literally be played for 20+ hours against Korean enemies , leading up to "The Core" , if you don't leave anything or any enemy behind. Far from a run of the mill game where you are finished before you know it. It is simply amazing what Crysis provides while you only need a Pentium 4 processor @ 3.0ghz and as little as a 256mb memory video card to run it. Most games of this calibre will not play or even open with any 256mb video card. I would recommend this game to anyone who likes FPS's , because I know they will not be disappointed as long as they can play the game.Read full review
AS long as your computer can handle it the game is awesome. Word of advice change it to Directx 9 it will run much smoother. In the Shortcut go to the run location and add -DX9 to the end "C:....Crysis.exe" -DX9 The graphics dont degrade much and it runs much smoother. Try it in DX10 if your happy keep the settings, I run it in DX9 and it ran great on High Graphics.
First time I've gotten to play a crytek game, finally had a video card that could handle one GTS 250. The graphics are awesome and unlike newer games this doesn't harrass you with activation. (Why should we have to prove it is our? If someone is going to pirate software you better bet they just remove your activation so who does it punish? Those of us that legitimitely purcahse it! I say don't buy anything with activation EVER and if you have to write them letters dailiy saying how much their software sucks. Maybe one of these days the idiots at software companies will learn that the customer is always right and simplicty is what sells things) Sorry my rant on that I hate messing with activation activating software almost never works right because of it. Anyway this software predates that stupidity and works wonderfully, buy it!Read full review
The graphics are just amazing. The game is definitely ahead of it's time. Great fun, lots of cool weapon types and awesome gun fights. The only thing is that it doesn't take much to kill you, even with Maximum Armor, but that just gives you more reason fight more effectively. Great scenery, great sounds, overall a great game. I would definitely recommend it to a friend.
