This is such a powerful movie - Scorcese - couldn't have developed the intense focal point of the Boston Scenario: Cops/Bad Cops/Snitches/Undercover/Gangs and Good Cops/Snitches. The acting is intense, Jack Nicholson, what can you say?? As usual, "Jack" makes his character so coarse and vulgar - perfect characterization. Leo del Caprio gives a performance, wherein the viewer automatically feels his developing mental-torment. Matt Damon, comes through with great polish, giving his character the underhandedness that is required. All of the supporting actors, no matter what role they have been given to characterize, they accomplish their acting skill considerably well. I have seen the movie 4 times and I have never gotten tired of it.
One of the best movies I have seen. Acting is terrific and the movie doesn't seem to get old after several viewings.
