After quickly finishing Season 1 on DVD, I watched Season 2 with the same expediency. To my delight, the writing was still as superb as the first season, and so were the actors. The guest stars were very enjoyable, most notably Ruth's sister, and the development that all the characters see this season was as enjoyable and complex as it was in the first season. Lisa, the woman whom Nate was living with while in Seattle, begins her place as a series regular in this season. David and Keith become closer yet at the same time are still torn apart by Keith's destructive behavior. Brenda and Nate each begin to have their own secrets that they keep from one another. Nate's medical condition begins to become more and more of an issue, resulting in a very climatic season finale. Claire reaches a crossroad in her relationship with Gabe, and finds a purpose for her life through speaking with Ruth's sister. Ruth continues to find some sort of meaning in her life and trying to find love along the way. Rico continues to pressure the Fishers into becoming a partner, while at the same time trying to compete with his wife's rich cousin who continues to provide for his family while Rico is unable to. And of course, there are still the usual deaths that occur at the beginning of every episode, some humorous, while others very upsetting or disturbing. The second season definitely will leave you hanging and wanting to get to Season Three as fast as possible!Read full review
Six Feet Under is my favorite series from the early 2000’s. I ended up buying all five seasons because I know that I will watch it again. If you are offended by profanity, drugs, sex, and nudity, do not watch this series.

I never watch shows at the time they are airing. Don't have the time yet, when I do make the time I jump in with both feet. I don't pay attention to critics, or reviews. I make up my own mind. I sat myself down one morning and started watching season 1. I loved how not morbid it was. Unlike Dexter and Nip Tuck, this leaves you with the premis and leaves the gory details to your own imagination. Great story to follow. I can feel for all the characters except the mousie Mom. I hear that in future shows she comes into her own and lets you believe in her (in time) I can see this happening. It is mostly filmed in Pasadena, CA and being from there most of my life, I enjoy seeing the scenary from the freeways to byways. I am dying for more and can't wait for second season. If a show does not grab me right off, I lose interest. I started this show at 9:00 a.m. and finshed the entire season by 8:30p.m. with a 30 minute break for lunch. I give it thumbs up!!Read full review
