Watched it probably eight times every day sometimes twice sometimes three times a day because it’s a very good movie so you need to get you one if you read these previews OK you have a blessed day. • Deceptive, but definitely of interest.

A roaring good story, well acted, well written, and with a very modern feel to it. Nonetheless, still can't get over the so many I see of gay male film characters, with no decent physiques to speak of -- (not that everyone should be a Chippendale's wonder, but they should at least have attractive bodies, or why bother to even want to go to bed with each other?) -- and then, even so, after they turn out to be so convincingly "into each other," we find that in real life they are all straight, and have presented the truth of their characters as totally false!! I mean, I love to see these guys in love with each other, and that's what I seek in life. But if it's all a "fiction," and such relationships don't exist, what's the point? Because most of the gay men I run into are all as shallow as pie tins, and just as substantial; all they seem to want is sex, and "relationship" is like a foreign word to them. What gives? So while such films are gratingly hitting the edge of that's what I want, it doesn't really seem to exist. It's all a fairy tale.

  • shelter excellant movie

Shelter is one of the best gay films out there. I would be surprised if you do not think this is an excellant gay themed movie. It's a great movie period for gay or straight movie lovers

  • Highly recommend

Excellent cast, relatable storyline, multiple scenes of heartfelt emotion, doesn't shy away from physical contact in scenes where you'd expect it, as opposed to many other movies where it's glossed over or there's a cut away, ends on an upbeat note which helps restore hope to those who may still be searching

  • Well Worth Watching.

This is a movie that romanticizes gay relationships in the idyllic manor most folks would want any relationship to go. The film is very well done. The acting is good. As are the production values, direction and writing. A film well worth the watching.

  • Good feeling movie

For a movie released a few years back, it tells a great story that shows love, understanding, awareness, and growth in character. Nice to have a good ending. Not one ending in tragedy like many other gay films do.

  • Good writing and acting

The story was believable and the acting was very good. It was nice to see Tina Holmes in another movie after her 1998 Edge of Seventeen role — even though her character in Shelter was irresponsible. I recommend this movie if you’re gay or gay friendly.

  • Happy ending!

I liked the movie better than I anticipated. I've never seen any of the actors in any other movies, I liked the parts they played. I really enjoyed the music and would like the soundtrack but it's too costly to purchase.
