How to change rear wiper blade correctly without breaking
Very happy with this replacement part was well worth the money. Just to fill you win on my situation I basically needed a new rear wiper blade for the back window on my 2008 Saturn Vue XR. This was the first time I changed the rear wiper blade. Anyway in most cases I thought the rear wiper blade would be as easy to change as any Front wiper blades. Unlike most front wiper arms you can pull the wiper arm up to a locked position and you have lots of room to finagle the wiper blade out and put a new one on. We’ll on this SUV the rear arm doesn’t swingout & up to a locked position. It just moves a tiny bit up, maybe 3 inches of lift. So basically I was able to get the old one out and by trying to replace with a new one I broke the plastic clip that holds the new wiper blade to the arm. To anyone who has to replace a rear wiper, just remove the black plastic nut cover on the rear of the wiper arm. Basically just pull each side outward a little bit and the cover will come right off. You will see a nut and all you need is a adjustable wrench or socket wrench to remove it. Once you get the wiper arm off, you’ll be able to remove the wiper blade much easier and replace with a new wiper blade without breaking the tabs that hold the wiper blade to the actual wiper arm “like I did😖!!” Just replace in the same order you took off very simple procedure. Take the extra time and do it the right way the first time!! Btw after going to Walmart I could not find the actual correct rear wiper blade that fit this vehicle. They had several for sale, the cheapest ones were about $10buck,but none of them were correct. I actually wound up buying a correct OEM wiper blade for $10 bucks from the same site I ordered the OEM wiper arm from. Hope this helps someone.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
