Product Information

After the death of their father, two sets of half-brothers begin a bloody feud that raises questions about the bonds of family and the value of revenge. After raising Son (Michale Shannon), Kid (Barlow Jacobs), and Boy (Douglas Ligon) in an abusive environment, their alcoholic father turned over a new leaf and started a new, respectable life--with another family. This tension explodes at his funeral, and inundates the rest of the film in tragedy. Set in the backroads of southeast Arkansas, SHOTGUN STORIES is an evocative look at the American South, reminiscent of the work of David Gordon Green, who co-produced the film.
