BR1180cdr-rd awesome bit of gear
I had one in 2004/2005 when they first came out and were 1,200.00 new and I loved it. I bought it out of nostalgia as the prices for these used ones are amazing. I did have to seek some cabling to attach the RCA output to USB so I can dump stuff onto computer instead of burning cd’s. What’s a CD these days right. It also just makes a great practice tool. It’s easy and complicated to use. You can start recording right off the bat but the higher levels are more complicate and will take time to learn. All in all a very decent device in a Pro-tools era, I like the feel of faders in my hands.

Great for home recording
I love working with this unit. Great features. I haven't figured out all of the editing features yet- there's a learning curve. But love the ease of use. Gripes: record button is not protected from accidental activation and display could be larger.

This is the one !!
The first recorder I owned was a Boss 532 and I made 2 CD's for church with it and I have has 10 recorders since then from Yamaha to Korg To fostex and have always wanted another Boss !! Now I have one and I am delighted !!
