2003 Santa Fe - Brake Fluid Leak Fix - OE Master Cylinder Valves
After watching a You Tube video about a similar brake fluid leak on my 2003 Santa Fe, they noted that this replacement OE valve, was re-designed, to not have the same seal, which the factory ones have, which leaks and cannot be replaced. I had tried a few used ones from salvage yards, but they always leaked the same way. It never affected the brakes, if I kept the fluid full, but I was going through about a qt of brake fluid every month. I strongly recommend that you replace both valves and as long as you do not let the master cylinder run dry, you will only need to bleed the two lines coming out of the valves, as no air should enter the lines going to the wheels. If you should have to bleed the brakes at the wheels, it will only be necessary to bleed the back wheels as the front brakes each have their own individual brake line, coming off the master cylinder, neither of which need to be disconnected, when replacing these two valves.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
