Good find!
Some 10 years ago I came across the base unit for these speakers with the hope of finding the rest of this computer sound system. The speakers that I bought would not have worked without this base unit. After all this time finally found the satellite units without which the base unit works. Entry level fidelity but adequate for my spare laptop.

The best computer speakers I have ever found!
If you get a chance, buy these immediately!!! By far the best Altec Lansing have ever produced, or any other company for that matter. Frequency response, even down into bass range is excellent, great output, both in volume and clarity. The usual distortion at higher volumes but you will be surprised at how strong they are! Just make sure they are tested before purchase.

This subwoofer replaced the original one I had that was fried by a lightening strike. The product is of high quality but it could not stand up to Mother Nature.
