Well worth it!
This has saved me a lot of hassle, time, and money. My tank filtration was self made and would clog making my tank overflow. This canister is amazing. Terrific Aquarium Filter for Aquatic Turtles
Great filter and very quiet, easy set up and installation. I use it in a 120 gallon aquarium filled to about 90 gallons that houses a turtle and 11 fish. Aquatic turtles are notoriously messy and require a very strong canister filter to maintain good water quality. Perfect filtration for my 125gal
This thing is a beast. I have it providing the main filtration for my 125 and it does it with ease. My only recommendation is to buy additional bio media and FX6 specific inner sponges to make this thing perfection. Ironically, it is also the quietest of my cannister filters, even though its the size of a fat bucket. To Fluval or Not
This is a heavy duty and well built unit. Well thought out with innovative features. I would actually give it 4.5 Stars. I cannot give it five because of the. 3 units I ordered, only 1worked right out of the box. The impellers were not seated correctly so after setting it up and plugging it in “ NOTHING”. Good layout and design. Its BIG. Like so many things there are those folks who have spent some time looking at ways to improve on something good so search for improvement hacks because there are plenty of creative ways to improve on the filtration. Its been running a few weeks with some of those suggested improvements and so far I'm very impressed.
