A little pricey, but fixed the saw
Pretty easy to install & did the trick. It seems to be good quality. The spring is a different type than the original, but appears to be an improvement. As far as it being a good value, the cost of this part is about one third the cost of the whole saw, so it's not a great value from that standpoint, but the rest of the saw was in good shape, so it's a lot cheaper than buying a whole new one.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Working replacement part
This shaft was a replacement for the discontinued shaft that, according to research, was a constant source of problems. Using Youtube, I was easily and quickly able to swap out the broken for the new OEM replacement and now my saw works like it should. Less than 45 minutes to swap and make sure to watch the video so you have the tools ready (including torch to break down Loctite and new Loctite).Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
