My one reservation is that the switching mechanism may not be properly fitted at the factory. I've had that with two switches. This seems like a factory quality control issue. The motors and the basic pieces themselves are fine though. To fix just unscrew and properly connect up the thin wire that flicks the switch. I'm hopeless at such things but was OK because I had a properly functioning switch to use as a template.

Kato track and turnouts are the smoothest running track in my opinion.
