Bathroom vent fans are usually an expensive proposition to repair and replace. An "inexpensive" vent fan costs upwards of $75 and that doesn't include installation. What's to tear up on a vent fan? Usually the vent fan motor wears out or gets gunked up from dirt and lint particles in the air. It slows and slows until finally it's just a loud hum. This vent fan replacement motor changes all of that. New motor, new fan blade and you're good to go for years to come. Loosen a couple of screws, unplug the motor and the old one drops out. Place the old holding bracket on the new motor and put it back in the place of the old motor and you've got a new vent fan that runs like a new one. Part was well packaged, shipped quick, I took a stab at it not knowing for sure which nutone unit I had, the shaft on this motor is too short for the squirrel cage type blower in my model 605 (label was gone on old motor), the seized motor had the bearings gummed up, the bearing blocks from this motor did fit so all was not lost! Much quieter and it works! Next time I will measure the shaft length, all else appeared to be interchangeable, might be a bit smaller than what came out of mine, I may have a 70cfm. No worries!

I bought this product. mainly, for the motor to be used in a fishing rod making / drying rack. THE motor is just what I can use to turn the rods while the applied epoxy dries in a uniform manner all around the pole. The motor is a good quality motor (as is the fan part) . It is powerful enough to do exactly what I wanted it for. I am sure that it will also serve as a good ventilator for the bathroom, as it is intended.

First off I didn’t purchase this product to use as a replacement for the exhaust fan. So I cannot comment as to how it would fit/work in this model. I purchased it for an item which uses this exact motor. I can say this motor is well made, fairly powerful, and runs almost silent.
