Two Great Stands In One Box
Great Product for the avid modeler. It can hold a variety of different modelling subjects with its repositionable clamps. Great tool - now made better!
I owned one of the older versions of this stand and it used to only come with one rotating base for the car body holder and turntable. It now comes with a base for each holder and that makes product even more usable. It is also now molded in a plastic that has a slight rubbery feel to it - this should make it easier to clean off paint over spray. While these Tamiya tools can be on the expensive side, they do make your modeling much easier - great stuff!!!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Must have for model car builders
The Tamiya spray stand makes painting my model cars so much easier. I would definitely recommend it to anyone that wants to get into building models. I like that it not only comes with a swivel spray stand but it comes with a swivel plate with holes for holding painted parts and spots for clips that it comes with. The only downside to this set only comes with 4 clips and the price is a little high. Note that you must clean if off with Tamiya thinners once done painting otherwise the paint will be one it for good. Work smarter, not harder.
This product is really 2 devices in one package. One has adjustable wire 'clamps' that push outward from centerline, pushing against inside of car body. The other has several spring clamps that are fitted into slots on the top of device. Both units are on a rotating base. Nice for spray painting and airbrushing. Spring needs tweeking.
The design of the "body holding springs could be better."Mine would not hold in the provided holes. So I took pliers and bent the very ends (that go into the holes) to approx. 15°'s to perhaps 18°'s inward. Now it stays put. when I bend the springs to place car body on. .....Actually not sure why one would need 6 holes.....I my opinion only 2 holes would ever be of real use.

Easy Way to Paint a Model
This painting stand by Tamiya is extremely helpful. It allows you to paint your model without painting your hands. You rotate it accordingly and you will not miss a spot. Well worth the money if you buy it at the right price like I did...!!
Easy to assemble everything works as it should. Lets me use both of my hands while airbrushing my projects. Clips work well for larger pieces,but for smaller parts there is not much of a grip.
