The new purpose is for me to take a steel string break from my regular guitar and have fun with a little nylon strung guitar I got in a thrift shop. It was a guitar meant for nylon strings with steel strings on it when I bought it. The previous owner did not know how to put strings on so there were..miles and miles of turns of the old machines to get those previous strings off. I got the eBay nylon Ernie Balls and they came quick, went on slick and I am a happy camper. I can't really assess the string sound because of the guitar's state at the moment, but it certainly sounds basically sweet and the guitar has good bones, so i think the strings are going to be great once they settle in.

I can't say enough about this strings- I really, really like them. I usually stay away from the ball end nylon strings- I prefer traditional strings- but not this time. These strings sound amazing- I noticed a lot of reviews saying the higher strings sound muted- that's not my experience at all. They sound very articulate and clear to me- not thin or weak at all. They are very bold and have a thicker tone to them- it's extremely articulate and dynamic. I know I keep saying that "articulate" but I'm telling you- they're clear as a bell ringing. I won't use anything else now. The sympathetic resonance I'm getting is insane- you can pluck an open note and hear the guitar ringing. It's so loud I have to mute the strings I'm not tuning, or they'll ring to the point it messes up my tuner.

These strings perform. Easy to grasp. Easy to install and hold tuning well after they set in. I am still debating whether the concert strings are better. These will go on again after they are done and I'll see which I prefer. At first I was hands down for these....I getting used to the new though.
