Be careful when buying replacement clipper blades
Actually, my ratings were bogus but can't continue without them. I couldn't use the blade because it wouldn't fit my Andis 1005 clipper. I have 6 blades that all fit, but the new one, which at first looks to be identical to another Andis 4FC ceramic blade that I own won't attach to my clipper. The reason is the bracket on the back of the new blade sticks up much higher than on my other blades. I have pictures but see no way to attach one. The arcs on what appear to be tensioners stand up much higher. In all other respects the blades appear to be the same. Upon closer inspection I did find other differences. My old blade is marked "AHS" while the new one is marked "PN1". The word Andis on the old blade is underlined but not on the new one. Finally, the side on the old blade has a distinct bevel whereas the new blade has a continuous curve (I discovered this when I tried to set them on edge to take a photo. Except for the bracket that stands up higher on the back of the blade everything else is superficial. Because I have used both steel and ceramic blades I am prepared to say I prefer the ceramic blades because they run cooler. The steel blades can get burning hot. I have no issue with Andis products but just wanted to note that there may be subtle differences between blades that the buyer needs to be aware of.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
