So easy to connect
Had a 7 yr . old smoke detector that kept beeping every 9 hrs. Changed the batteries numerous times but nothing worked. Everyone advised of either turning off at the breaker system or cutting the wires. Neither was an option. The breaker operated other key outlets in 3 other rooms. It took my 80 yr. old retired architect/ mechanic to tell me to unplug the unit from the ceiling to shut it up. Thank goodness, he was right. I couldn’t find the Firex brand in my small town. replaced 20 year old hard wired detectors

good smoke detector for the moneey
These were a prefect replacement for the 16 year old originals that came with the house. You have to be careful to order the correct wiring adapters so that there is no cutting or splicing of wires. They also come with a new backup battery and in my case the holes for the old original backing plates aligned perfectly with the new baking plates.
