    OEM replacement guarantees perfect replacement and fit

    Nothing as frustrating as a water mixer failing leaking hot water. This OEM replacement fit the 25-year old original manifold so it made the repair effortless and stopped the leak. If you have a Kohler single lever shower faucet that's a couple of decades old and no matter what you do it keeps dripping water out of the shower spout chances are this is the culprit. This probably would have been a $200 repair job but if you know what to get (this is what you need to get) and you're fairly handy with a phillips and a flat blade screwdriver and an allen wrench, you can do this yourself and save a lot of money. I have four shower stalls in my home that use this mixing valve and this is the second mixer valve I've had to replace. Shut off the main water source, and if possible shut off the hot water inlet and outlet valves feeding the hot water tank, depressurize the house plumbing by opening the hot and cold water valves in the bathroom sink and you're good to go. Remember to put a screen strainer on the shower stall's drain so none of the screws fall in if they slip from your fingers.
