This is a great entertainment for the whole family. My 13 y.o. son and all adults around are getting involved. Good thing is that this kit is pre-designed and all technical calculations are already done and all materials included, so you just need to follow the instructions. You can also find matching Atlas or Kato track schema in internet. Good starter kit to learn basic technics and create (I hope) a wonderful full-size scenic for your n-scale model train. We are still in process of building it up - not easy but enjoyable J

Nearly a complete kit. For longevity, I will use 1/4” plywood because the styrofoam will fail if an accident occurs (after all, humans are prone to this). I think it’s important to have a support system under to level, stabilize and provide a good viewing height. A hollow core door might work better and save a bit of money..
