  • These were from Taiwan and worked well for me

Users can encounter problems due to DVD fabrication, burner, and player compatibilities. So through trial and error, users usually settle on a brand and source that works for them. Verbatim discs that are fabricated in Singapore have worked well for me. However product descriptions don't usually state the source (the COO-Country of Origin) of the DVDs. I did find a couple of sites that would ship Verbatim discs from Singapore, but at double the price of these discs. These from Office Depot turned out to be from Taiwan, but the first few burned and played with no problem, so I'm happy with them. I use these on a bank of old Pioneer DVR640HS that can burn DVD+R Dual Layer discs for transferring OTA recordings.

  • This brand has very few disk failure

I have been using Verbatim Blank DVD+R disks with almost no disk failures. Verbatim makes good products.

  • Unsure!!

I've used Verbatim DL discs in the past with no trouble at all. These are the first printable that I've tried, they print beautifully in my Canon MG7720.....BUT having lots of trouble burning to them using the same systems as the non-printable. Very frustrating! Spoke to Verbatin tech support, they weren't able to offer any suggestions other than the discs might be bad. Unsure what to do now........probably will try another brand.......... 3/30@1955hrs. 5/17/18--Ok, problem solved! It was my mother-in-law's fault!!!!

  • Great performance, no coasters!

I've probably used about 25 of the blank DL DVDs so far, and have yet to have one fail a burn. The white surface is great for writing information on (apparently, some printers allow printing directly to the disc, but I haven't tried this). If you need DL DVDs, these are a solid value!

  • 50 Verbatim *X Blank DVD+R DL

I have always found these dual layer Verbatim blank DVD +R discs to be highly reliable and they are the only such discs that I currently use. I recommend this product without hesitation. Be aware that it is becoming harder to obtain this brand except from various internet sources. Wesley Tom Redlands, CA

  • Verbatim Writable DVD's Dual Layer

Well, everyone claims is the best and seem to work great. I did burn a couple coasters but, I believe was fault of my drive. I had no problem after running a cleaning on my drive though. Supposedly, these are supposed to stand the test of time... very important unless your just trying to bootleg something for quick immediate use.... which most of us don't. I use it to backup a game dvd that is getting scratched and probably won't be any good real soon. Works flawlessly.

  • So far, so good.

The first one I attempted to burn was a dud, so I thought the reviews had I read, advising to avoid this particular brand of verbatim, we're going to haunt me, but so far the ones I've used since have worked fine.

  • Made in China = GARBAGE

Verbatim was always my top choice for Dual Layer discs in years past. Back then they were made in Taiwan, and were worth $2 a disc. My first three off the bat were coasters, so I tried a different burner. The first one was successful, but I have had poor success rate since then. Perhaps I got a bad batch, but my days of purchasing Verbatim discs of any format are over.

  • Occasional Dud

I'd say that I get about a 80% success rate with these discs. That compares with what I figure is closer to 98% with the similar silver ( non writable surface ) Verbatim DL discs. The reason to use these hub printable versions is the cost - they can be had on Ebay for between 25 - 30 bucks for the 50 disc pack. That's about half the cost of the silver blanks. This might just be a compatibility issue with the writer - I don't know. It seems that a lot of folks do very well with these.

  • Best Value per Results, Compared to Other Options

Used to buy bargain discs until 60% of them would fail. Used Phillips then, good value, until they changed their supplier and 50% of them failed. (That sudden switch from good to horrible was noticed by many other reviewers, so the problem was not my system.) Such failure rates not only entirely obliterated (and then some) the money I was supposedly saving, they cost me much time and headaches. And I also never knew if I had any left at all that were any good. Now I use Verbatim and have probably gone through 200 discs with excellent results. I think about 2 have failed. Far better value than the so called "better value" discs. I have not tried all brands, nor will I...very happy with Verbatim and the solid reputation they have earned for a reason.
