Amazing calculator, great features.
I own about a dozen different models of printing calculators and this is one of my favorites. The thermal printer is fast and quiet. It prints negative numbers in bold rather than red because it has just one color. It's packed with features like financial calculations. Having alpha numeric display and print means your results can be labeled with words instead of cryptic symbols. Can't remember how a feature works? Just smash that "help" button and it will print out a detailed description. Need to date/time stamp your calculation? Hit Date/time twice and it prints the date and time in real text on the tape. The keyboard feels great. There are two downsides to the PL8000. First, as with all thermal paper, the results fade with time. If you require a long record of your calculations, then make xerox copy or get a calculator that prints ink on paper. Second, the display has a narrow viewing angle. Nice for regular fast totals
