Product Information
Paradigm Titan speakers are compact bookshelf speakers that are used as part of an audio home theater package or a stereo pair. Bookshelf series speakers, specifically designed to maximize sound in small to medium-sized spaces, are meant to rest on a shelf, table, or other elevated surface. The speakers can also be stand-mounted. Each speaker is 13 inches high, 7.75 inches wide, 10.75 inches deep, and weigh 10.5 pounds, making them ideal for any room in the house. These bookshelf speakers work well for simple TV watching r movie viewing, as they are easily attached to a DVD or Blu-ray player. Paradigm is a Canadian company that is well-known for conducting extensive research and development before designing its speakers. The Titan speaker has been recognized as a budget speaker packed with power, and very good performance since its introduction in 1991. The Titan speaker version 2 is typical of the line. The two-way speaker, which contains a subwoofers and tweeters, is enclosed in a bass reflex system. A bass reflex enclosure uses the sound from the rear side of the driver’s diaphragm to improve the low-frequency response of the speaker system. Tuned ports, or holes, project some of the sound energy that is lost in a sealed enclosure. The mid/bass driver is a 6.5-inch cone made of polypropylene with foam surround and cast chassis, while the 34-inch high-frequency transducer is a metal/ceramic composite. The original cabinet was all wood, but the newer version has a molded plastic rear wall. The terminals are mounted on the back of the plastic baffle, and the port’s flared mouth is molded right in. The grille cloth on the front of the cabinet is stretched and secured directly to the baffle. These Paradigm home theater speakers have a frequency response of between 60 Hz and 20 kHz, with a sensitivity of 86 dB and 8 Ohms impedance. The speakers have a clear, clean tweeter and good balance between the drivers. They project many small details, reproducing quiet sounds like fingers plucking stringed instruments or the rick-tick-a-tick of a hi-hat cymbal. Paradigm provides a variety of accessories like Bluetooth receivers, foam edge repair, and replacement kits. Paradigm’s Perfect Bass Kit is a state-of-the-art system that analyzes the subwoofer’s response in a room and then sets the correct equalization parameters to attain optimal sound. The kit includes two USB cables, and you supply the computer with Windows software and USB ports. The connected computer’s 64-bit floating-point processor calculates the correction curves. The system allows for multiple microphone measurements instead of taking one measurement at the primary listening position. Up to ten positions can be measured, and Paradigm suggests a minimum of five. Paradigm’s stainless steel speaker stands, which elevate a speaker to the correct height, come with adjustable spike feet to make leveling easy. The speaker cable can be run through the stand post or the bottom hole can be plugged so the post can be filled with sand or other material to improve stability and kill any metallic resonance.Product Identifiers
