Great little train for compact tracks - ie tight circles.
Brilliant little train for Compact series of Kato tight turn track system. Only negative is that it does not run smoothly with standard Kato controller at slow speeds. You need to purchase the SX controller which is Pulse With Modulated (PWM) SX controller is the best analogue way to control this small train correctly. - Hence 4 stars. Not sure if you can go digital upgrade on the Compact / Fairy series of Kato trains, others who are digital may be ale to advise.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great little train set
This is exactly as you would expect form Kato, well made and runs like a clock. I want to point out one thing however, the "engine" is NOT an engine, it's an empty shell. One of the passenger cars has the motor in it and actually pushes the locomotive and pulls the other passenger car. It appears that the wheels are magnetic on it too.I put another two, full size passenger cars on this and it pulled, and pushed, everything. Well worth the price.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
