The slide feeder works 20% of the time. Saved image will include black arcs in the corners, will require manual cropping of the image. Documentation, sparse that it is, appears to have been written by a 4th grader. I know Chinese -> English is not easy but you could hire a native speaker for 4 hours and fix it across all product lines.

This unit helped to save slides that would have never seen the light of day again. Although not perfect, it functioned well. Too much jamming with the multi slide feeder and a small radius would have been a problem solver, but when it ran smooth, it was fast and efficient. Thanks

Digit Now scanner
Easily scan 35 mm slides with the tray feeder. I didn't see much difference between the 5M and the 10M resolution setting with my slides. I used the 5M setting as the SD card would hold more scanned images before having to upload to computer.

Have not been able to get it to work - period
when set up as instructed: -does not reliably respond to pushing "menu". Lights up the slot where the slide is, but not the screen. Fiddling with Menu usually get the screen lit. -When apparently working, move slide and select "capture", get "chip error" message -put chip in computer, and it shows file empty.. When connected by UBS to computer: - computer does not recognize unit - When screen lit, select "capture" does nothing. Select USB option - still nothing. Have tried calling the customer service number in the instruction, and the phone does not answer.

Nice little gadget, not really high tech.
While the slide viewer is easy to use and does a pretty good job of scanning in dolor slides, the focus and the color resolution leave a little to be desired. I'm no expert so I don't know how much further you would have to go to get really good scans.

Good and Bad
The Digitnow Scanner is advertised for slides and negative film. It does a decent job on negative film but sometimes the auto white balance is fooled and the pictures turn out blue. It is terrible on slide film because it doesn't seem to compensate for the high contrast in slide film so the whites are too white and darks are too dark. The scanner functions well ergonomically but I was a little disappointed in the slide results. I found errors in the user manual that made it hard to get to the setup mode. This was finally resolved with some technical support.
