Designed for users who need to print while on the move, the HP OfficeJet H470 mobile inkjet printer is a portable device with a number of handy features built-in. The H470 is available in different variants – a base model that does not include a battery, a version that includes an external lithium-ion battery, and a final model that adds a Bluetooth printer adapter and protective case to the mix. A fully charged battery allows the printer to print a maximum of up to 450 pages on the go. The H470 can hold only 50 sheets of paper, but a larger number would make this portable device much less mobile. One of a kind
This is an unusual printer in that it's very compact and portable which is why I stick with it - in spite of it's many frustrations. (This one I just bought is my 4th in the last 10 yrs) This has been my experience with the H460 & H470: The HP software is junk. Whenever I have to reinstall the drivers (new operating system, etc) it's generally an all-day ordeal to get it to the point where all the software features actually work. (and i'm not a computer newbie) The printer has a startup and shutdown routine where all the lights flash & the cartridges race up & down the track and you've got to sit there and wait for it to finish it's little hissy-fit so it will actually turn off or start up. (Bring a book to read.) It's very finicky about cartridges. Won't work at all with cheap ones and sometimes rejects older OEM ones. (I generally buy slightly out of date HP cartridges here on ebay) Black & white or plain paper color printing is decent. (I no longer try to print photos on photo paper) So if you need a small printer and are willing to put up with it's quirks than the H470 can now be bought here on eBay for a fraction of it's original (obscene) price.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Great compact printer...prone to blinking lights/not printing problem.
We had this printer for a number of years...compact size, easy to use, loved it. It started having a problem where it just wouldn't print...lights kept cycling. Figured it had served us well and we'd replace it Bought the refurbished one through E-Bay. It ended up having the same lights blinking problem and wouldn't print. Tried everything. Contacted seller and he said this is a common problem with this printer...does not know why. He refunded me. So...it's probably worth a discounted price to try one and use it for as long as it lasts. After trying 2, I gave up and bought a small Epson...not quite as compact as this cute little HP, but it will be fine. I miss this HP, though.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

A bit overpriced for the conveniences

A good space-saver printer that does the job
The H470 is a great little printer--it is small but does its job well. For those of us who don't have a lot of space, the H470 is just the thing. While the H470 isn't especially speedy, it can print plenty of copies for a small presentation of 25 or so individuals. I understand that it is popular with people on the go, and I can easily believe it. Although many years old, this printer met all of my expectations, and then some.
I have been using this type of printer for many years. I needed a reserve printer, and I am delighted to have made this purchase. I was able to configure it quickly, and this HP Officejet H470 was fully operable almost immediately after I hooked it up to one of our printers. Better than advertised.
Arrived on-time (actually, a day early), and as advertised. Price was fair. Has been in use for a week now, and all as promised. Fit well, and does not overheat. Some units do not have an indicator light, however this one does have this handy little way to tell if power is available to the printer. This is a good printer. Bought it to replace one I’d had for 16 years! So I got my money’s worth. Won ‘t work wirelessly with new operating systems which Is a disappointment because HP doesn’t support it anymore. HP portable printer is some what hard to set up unless computers are your thing. I use Samsung phone to get HP drivers , very little controls on printer. I would buy again, just be careful- these are mostly Used units. BEWARE.
