Excellent radio with a lot of great features
I love this radio! It looks great with the gun metal grey finish. It uses an 18650 battery which isn't as easy to find as AA's but battery life is very good. I like that it can be charged via the supplied USB cable. The speaker sounds pleasant. It's tone is not quite as rich as it's little brother, the Radiwow R-108, but still excellent and causes no listening fatigue for me. It's design and build quality are top notch. I do wish the volume control was on the radio's right side near the tuning knob. The bandwidth filter is amazing and works far better than my Tecsun PL-660's. Having multiple settings works much better than a simple narrow or wide setting like the 660 has. It's sensitivity is amazing in all bands. I enjoy listening to the air band and the adjustable squelch makes that a pleasant experience. The radio does an outstanding job of bringing in weak signals. I enjoy listening to hams on SSB with this radio. It's very easy to tune in conversations on upper and lower side bands with the fine tuning control. Another big bonus is the ability to turn the screen light on full time. The radio is certainly a must buy at this price.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Nice radio but the manual leaves much out for operation. You need to discover how it works by just using it and thanks to some U-tube posting to find just what it can do. SW use the extended antenna provided. AM an external loop for receiving is a plus. FM reception is very good with extended antenna and the sound quality from the speaker is very good for its size. Fully charged battery lasts for days (the little bars mean little) you won't run out of battery time. Like I said, just use it and you'll learn what it can do. I would rate it right up with more expensive radios that I have compared it too. Pleased with it and I am still learning what it can do. Good performer if hooked up properly.
I have it hooked up to a outside 60' sloper and for the price point not bad. Although my go to Icom R-75 has more bells and whistles, this little radio does well. Used indoors on SW with a indoor wire antenna produces too much background noise to be easy listening. Used indoors with a proper outdoor antenna set up and it comes to life. Could Use Improvement
Be nice to be able to scan all freqs between 1711-29.999, Just does certain bands, Clock setting is Finicky. Programming quite easy. Nice filter system. Some heavy RF and Hits alot of Birdies. Poor inaccurate instructions
A big issue is the horrible instructions. Why bother to build a good radio with no manual.
