For the price, I was expecting something plastic. But this little baby is solid quality and it does a beautiful job of punching and binding. I would recommend, however, that BEFORE punching the holes, you carefully align your paper against the punch so you only end up with WHOLE holes - instead of half holes off the ends of the page. This is simple and requires nothing more than good ol' common sense. Loosen the gauge screw and adjust the guide to where you need it to be, then use a pencil or other to mark each side of the gauge to make it easy to re-align for another time. Excellent gadget at a remarkable price...WELL WORTH IT!

This binder does what it's supposed to do. Sort of. It's inexpensive, isn't bogged down by bells and whistles, and is straight forward to operate. But the punching leaves grease residue around the holes, and -- despite claims to the contrary -- it cannot punch covers unless they are of brittle build.

Very lightweight but EAS surprised how well it cut. Compared to others the value is fine.
