Look forward to using this more with my new pellet grill!
This device was easy to use after getting it set up. The biggest thing I learned, was making sure the probe was charged first, for the amount of time mentioned in the instructions. I had it paired but it would not show up until it was charged. Has good range using this Meater+ on Bluetooth, reaching inside of the house with no problem.

Shop for a better option, blue tooth range is not even 5 ft.
My first time using the two thermometers has been anything but stellar. I had the units charging with the included battery for several days in their cases. Initial usage was to simply sync them up to the app which they both did without problem. Now today getting ready to use them it took some finagling to figure out how to set the temperature for cooking but got it done and both were synced up prior to putting on the Traeger grill. Almost as soon as I put the meat down the "right" thermometer lost connection. The other I named "left" for obvious reasons. (one was on the right the other one on the left....genius) I was only a few feet away after closing the grill. I left the phone a few feet away and eventually it reconnected and I moved to about 6 ft away and it lost connection again but I still had the "left'" connected. After some time the "left lost connection also. So now both are not connected and I set the phone down 3 feet away from the grill. The "right" one has reconnected but not the left thermometer. Less than a stellar performance after only 2.5 hrs on the grill. I would not recomment this product at this moment in time.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Very accurate timing
This is technology well-spent. Sometimes making something "smart" is stupid. Do I really need my clothes washer hooked up to my phone? But this makes perfect sense - always know how much longer your meat will take to get to your set done-ness. The Bluetooth repeater in the charging base is good but the range is a little shorter than it could be (but much better than trying to measure the thermometer through a steel barbecue directly). You just put the thermometer in, tell it what kind of meat it is, tell it how done you like it - and it takes care of the rest. Very slick.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Like the build materials , very accurate
Good quality product, I like the materials used to build the probe and the case. The probe is very accurate and the cook time prediction from the app was right on. Very easy to configure the probe and the phone app. It was able to stay connected to my phone to at least 80 feet thru walls, the only minor issue was when I wrapped my smoked BBQ ribs in aluminum foil, it lost the connection and I could not get a reading.
